減重對許多人來說相當不容易,不僅要搭配運動及飲食,最重要的是擁有一顆持之以恆的心。美國一名37歲女子重達170公斤,由於身體過重導致她行動不便,還要忍受他人的眼光,於是她下定決心要減重,靠著3點原則,讓她在短短2年減去68公斤,幾乎要減掉半個自己,如今她也成為減重達人,更在網路上分享自己的故事,鼓勵其他想擁有健康的朋友一起動起來。

Didn’t make it to the gym on Saturday but I still managed to have a pretty active evening. I spent the night on the dance floor at an amazing wedding – so I can count that as cardio right (even ended up with a few thousand steps after midnight)? 😉 💃🏼 I wore a dress, tights and heels all night and was so comfortable in my own skin, something that would not have happened even a year ago. 阿曼達(Amanda Mandie Wood)是一個170公斤的胖妞,長期因身材受到他人忽視,也因為體重過重造成她身體負擔較大,於是她在2015年秋天下定決心要減肥,首先從飲食方面下手,諮詢營養師幫助她改變飲食習慣,並用手機app記錄攝取的熱量,35%的熱量來自碳水化合物、25%來自脂肪,及 40%從蛋白質獲取,多以高蛋白食物、蔬菜水果等為主。

I literally can’t stop eating this breakfast. I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s so tasty and filling! . . 1/4 cup of quick oats & 1/2 cup of water microwaved for about a minute. Then add in 1 scoop of protein powder and a bit of almond milk. Mix it all up and top with whatever you want. 第二原則是「搭配運動」,由於她先前曾至健身房運動,發現自己毅力不足,且效率與效果都並不是很高,因此她決定花錢請專業教練,協助她將運動的效能達到最高,也真心地愛上運動。第三個原則,則是「替自己設小目標」,減重過程最重要的是心態,可以藉由設定合理目標,來幫助自己增加運動動力,不必一開始就下決心減幾十公斤,而是從兩公斤著手,不僅可以提升自信心,也會讓人因此獲得成就感。

Did NOT want to work out today. To be completely honest, I ate like crap all weekend (birthday party, traveling, blah blah blah) and I knew it wasn’t going to go well. Plus I was storm stayed at home today working from my laptop on the couch. . Luckily I have a bit of a set up in the basement so I pulled myself together and did a quick workout. It was nothing impressive and I had to convince myself to keep going after every single rep, but I did it. And well it was only 35 mins, it was better than nothing. . 阿曼達提到,減重時最重要的就是毅力,雖然期間一定會出現停滯期,但千萬不要氣餒,偶時可以給自己放鬆一下,吃些高熱量的食物調適心情,但千萬不可以保持常態。也可以找尋你的減重夥伴,與你一起運動、相互勉勵,更能讓減重的壓力感變得有動力,最終一定要抱著持之以恆的心,相信自己可以辦到。
